This is actually not the first time. Same tactics was used in Yugoslavia
and Iraq to prepare public opinion before the attack.
If you are interested about "desinformation" and the different methods look
at books by Vladimir Volkoff and Général Pierre-Marie Gallois. They ue
concrete examples and are easy to read.
